frequently asked questions

Q ; how often should you wax your car?

A:

  • Climate

If you live in an area with extreme sunshine, you might want to use a wax with strong UV protection. If you live in a more rainy climate, you might want to use a wax with hydrophobic properties.

  • Age of your car

New cars should be waxed twice a year, while cars that are more than five years old should be waxed every quarter.

  • Parking location

If your car is parked in a climate-controlled garage, you might only need to wax it twice a year. If your car is parked on the street, you might need to wax it every three to four months, or more often if it's exposed to harsh winters or direct sunlight.

Is ceramic coating better than wax?

Yes, ceramic coating is generally considered better than wax because it provides significantly more durable protection against environmental contaminants, UV rays, and scratches, lasting much longer than wax which typically needs to be reapplied more frequently; ceramic coatings also tend to offer a superior gloss and easier maintenance compared to wax, making it the preferred option for long-term paint protection.

Key points about ceramic coating vs wax:

  • Maintenance:

Once applied, ceramic coatings generally require less frequent maintenance compared to wax, as dirt and grime slide off more easily.

  • Durability:

Ceramic coatings are significantly more durable and last much longer than wax, sometimes lasting for years compared to a few months for wax.

  • Protection level:

Ceramic coatings create a chemically bonded layer on the paint, offering better resistance to harsh chemicals, UV rays, and environmental contaminants than wax which simply sits on the surface.

Q: How often should you get your car detailed ?

  • How often you drive it

If you drive your car regularly, you may need to detail it more often.

  • Your environment

If you live in an area with harsh winters, extreme heat, or lots of salt, you may need to detail your car more often.

  • How well you maintain it

If you wash and wax your car regularly, you may be able to detail it less often.

  • The type of detailing

Different types of detailing require different frequencies, such as every 3–4 months for exterior detailing, every 4–6 months for interior detailing, and once or twice a year for engine bay detailing.
